Bonsai Talks and Demonstration

The Perfect Gift for Dad

Squire’s Garden Centre will be hosting exclusive bonsai talks and demonstrations in June. The talks and demonstration will focus on all aspects of growing bonsai including creating a bonsai from a garden centre plant. The Bonsai Kai experts will be sharing their knowledge with keen customers.

The Bonsai Kai is the oldest bonsai club in Europe and was formed in 1961 in response to growing interest in the cultivation of bonsai trees.

 The talk and demonstration will also cover:

  • What is a bonsai and the history of this branch of horticulture.
  • Suitable material for creating bonsai; what species are best and some to avoid.
  • Indoor and outdoor bonsai.
  • Caring for bonsai: potting, watering, feeding, pruning.

The talks and demonstrations take place at 10:30am and 2:30pm at the following centres;

Badshot Lea – 11th June

Twickenham – 13th June

Shepperton – 15th June

Tickets cost £3.50 and include a £3 voucher off all bonsai purchased on the day and a free filter coffee or tea to enjoy in the Seasons Restaurant. The perfect way to treat Dad this Father’s day.

Book now as there are limited places available. Tickets are available from the information desk at participating centres.
