Squire’s Garden Centre in Badshot Lea will be hosting a fundraising event on Friday 8th June to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
Staff at the centre will be riding the distance between all Squire’s 14 Garden Centres in a bid to raise awareness and money for the charity. Using stationary exercise bikes and working on rotation, the Squire’s staff are aiming to cover 300 miles over an 11 hour period. The restaurant will also be joining in the fundraising by selling cupcakes on the day, with all profits going to the charity.
Anna Wemyss, Surrey and West Sussex Regional Fundraiser for Teenage Cancer Trust, will be joining staff at Badshot Lea at 12pm to offer support and encouragement and talk about how their donations will make a difference.
Sarah Squire, Deputy Chairman of Squires Garden Centres commented: “I am delighted our team members have organised this fundraiser, Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity close to the heart of a number of our colleagues and we wish them every success in reaching their target and raising vital funds for the charity.”
Fundraising begins on the evening before the bike ride on the 7th June with members of staff invited to a Zumba dance class in return for donations to the charity.
