It is all go at Squire's in preparation for their exhibit at this year's Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show.
In a change from tradition local, family owned, garden centre group Squire's have looked to the scents and flavours of Southern Italy for inspiration this year. The exhibit will demonstrate a sumptuous display of garden produce. Mature fruiting trees, specimen herbs, vegetables, edible flowers and vines will combine around a central feature which is a traditional outdoor clay oven. There will be pots, boxes, jars and bundles of herbs and spices in abundance.
Colin Squire said "Although the garden has a Mediterranean theme many of the plants featured will grow very well in the vegetable plots, allotments and flower beds of the UK. So we hope that the garden will inspire people to get out and enjoy growing produce for the delight of their own friends and familie".
Squire's are regular exhibitors at Chelsea and also the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and hope to add to their list of gold and silver gilt medal success at Chelsea over the last ten years.
If you are visiting the show Squires can be found in the Great Pavilion stand GPC20.
The garden is co-ordinated by Colin Squire and has been designed by Paul Stone who used to work for Squire's Landscapes and now has his own garden design business.
