Stunning display at Squire's
21 June 2009
Squires Garden Centre
Squire's Garden Centre at Badshot Lea played host once again to the South of England Show of the Royal National Rose Society last weekend.
Visitors were treated to a delightful and fragrant display of roses together with a beautiful exhibition of floral art and a truly magnificent display of quilts made by local needlework groups.
The South of England Rose Show is one of only two in the country of national standing and has been hosted by Squire's for over thirty years. It was attended by the Deputy
Mayor of Farnham in whose ward the show took place, and the Mayor and Mayoress of Rushmoor.
Exhibitors came from as far away as Ramsbottom, Felixstowe, Southport and
Cumbria to show their roses and many of them had travelled through the night in order to set up their exhibits in time for judging on Saturday morning.
Colin Squire commented "We are delighted to host such a wonderful event. The quality and standard of blooms and quilts on display was truly stunning, a very enjoyable weekend for all who visited."
