The Royal Horticultural Society's Hampton court Palace Flower show is fast approaching. Once again Squire's Garden Centres will be exhibiting, as they have every year since the show started. Preparations are well in hand.
Colin Squire explained the philosophy behind the exhibit which is a small garden inside the floral marquee. He said "the garden is designed around a beautiful ornamental iron well at its heart showing how great structures can make a garden both striking and original. In addition, elaborate iron railings and a gate compliment the central well. The planting is arranged in circular patterns to mirror the well, with a paved stone path winding through the garden. This year we are delighted to be showcasing three stunning new clematis varieties from the celebrated clematis breeder Raymond Evison."
The idea is to build an inspirational garden and to create a look that is achievable at home by using proven plant varieties that do well for gardeners and are readily available to the public in garden centres.
Packed with colour and scent, the Well Garden features roses, climbers and a wide variety of attractive cottage garden plants with accompanying ornamental trees and shrubs. It truly is a feast for the senses.
The Squire's exhibit can be seen at Stand FM/17. The show is open from Tuesday 6 July to Sunday 11 July.
