Toby Buckland Draws the crowds at Squire's

Gardening enthusiasts turned out in force to meet BBC Gardeners' World Presenter Toby Buckland at Squire's Garden Centre Twickenham. Toby entertained the crowd with a talk and demonstration on planting herbs. He was also on hand to sign copies of his new Practical Gardening Handbook and answer any questions from visitors.

Toby was in store as part of a weekend of activities in support of Greenfingers, the charity committed to creating magical gardens for children’s hospices around the country. Activities included a tombola, name the bear competition, colouring competition, face painting, kids treasure trail and a cup cake decorating competition in Seasons Restaurant.

The weekend raised over £1200 which is a fantastic total for just 3 days of fundraising.

Sarah Squire says "We were delighted to see Toby at the garden centre on such a beautiful day. He is such a popular presenter and was happy to chat individually with customers. We are also very grateful to our customers and staff and thank them all for their generosity in helping us support Greenfingers to improve the lives of children in hospices by creating such great gardens."
