It was a very exciting day for us down at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show preview yesterday. I’m really pleased with the way the garden has turned out this year – especially as we haven’t done an outside garden for such a long time. And all our hard work has paid off as we were awarded a Silver Flora Medal. This was a very special garden for us so to have our achievement recognised with a medal is fantastic.
As a local horticultural business our garden very much reflects the potential for local home gardens – the unsung heroes of the gardening world! We’re passionate about making gardening and growing something that anyone can do, no matter what their experience is, or how big or small their growing space. One of the features of our garden that received a lot of attention yesterday was the living wall – and it’s a great example of how a different perspective can transform walls and fences into something really spectacular.
Here is my father and Ian Hammond, head of the plant department at our Twickenham centre who designed and planted our garden.
I am particularly pleased with how colourful and inviting it looks. If you are coming to Hampton Court please come and visit us at Show Gardens Stand E128 and send us your pictures. I’d really love to see them- just pop them across to firstname.lastname@example.org
