December Gardening Tips
We’ve had lots of opportunities to plant and enjoy our gardens this year, and now, all of a sudden, Christmas is upon us!
- Bring the outside in and choose a real Christmas tree. Remember to cut a little piece from the bottom of the stem before you bring it into the house, as you would with cut flowers. Place the tree in a stand that holds water and top up regularly, keep it away from radiators and other sources of heat.
- Enjoy houseplants this season, either for yourself or as a gift. Look out for foliage plants which are right on trend at the moment. Larger plants will refresh any room while smaller ones can be planted in a terrarium – very stylish!
- Achieve indoor colour with bright azaleas or cyclamen for a cooler spot, or a seasonal poinsettia for a warm living room. For scent, consider a jasmine, stephanotis or some hyacinths.
Above all, we wish you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
