Spectacular Rose Displays Delight Visitors at Squire’s Shepperton

Squire’s Garden Centre in Shepperton was in full bloom over the weekend as visitors enjoyed the annual Rose Festival, hosted in partnership with The Rose Society UK.
The event has become a firm favourite for visitors to the Shepperton centre. Showcasing stunning rose displays and arrangements from leading national growers, whose fragrant blooms filled the show marquee with the perfect summer scent. Held under warm and sunny skies, the weekend delivered a vibrant, garden party atmosphere and drew enthusiastic crowds.
This year’s festival was attended by the Mayor of Spelthorne, Cllr John Doran, and also featured a variety of Squire’s food and drink producers who kindly supported the weekend, providing tasting and sampling opportunities to delighted visitors and adding to the festival feel of the event. Visitors were also treated to creative floral displays by the Walton & Weybridge Flower Club, who continue their long-established association with the Rose Show.
Sarah Squire, Chairman, Squire’s Garden Centres, comments: “We were thrilled to welcome so many visitors to our Rose Festival in Shepperton over the weekend. Roses have long been a favourite with our family and with many gardeners across the UK. This event is a wonderful way to celebrate their beauty and recognise the dedication of growers who bring such incredible displays from far and wide. It was a really joyful occasion and a highlight in Squire’s summer calendar.”
The Rose Festival continues Squire’s longstanding partnership with The Rose Society UK and reflects the company’s commitment to promoting and supporting horticulture. Colin Squire, OBE, Chairman Emeritus, is President of The Rose Society UK. The organisation serves to promote and stimulate interest in growing roses, improve people’s knowledge of roses as well as to encourage the cultivation of roses through supporting rose breeders and trials.
