Squire’s Garden Centres Recognised at 2026 GCA Awards

Squire’s Garden Centres has once again been recognised for excellence at the Garden Centre Association (GCA) Awards, announced at the GCA’s annual conference on Monday 26 January 2026.

The awards celebrate the highest-scoring garden centres nationally following the GCA’s annual inspection programme, with presentations taking place during a special ceremony at Carden Park Hotel, Cheshire, as part of the Association’s 60th anniversary.

Squire’s achieved strong results across a range of categories, including:

  • Squire’s Hare Hatch – presented with the GCA GROW Training Award, in recognition of the team’s outstanding completion of training modules
  • Squire’s Hersham – 2nd place, Ruxley Rose Award – Best Plant Area in the country (Garden Centre category)
  • Squire’s Crawley – 3rd place, Garden Construction Award* (Local Garden Centre category), a new category for 2026
  • Squire’s Milford – 3rd place, Indoor Plant Award (Garden Centre category)
  • Squire’s Hersham – 2nd place, Pots & Ornamentation Award (Garden Centre category), a new award for 2026

The GCA awards recognise consistently high standards across plant quality, customer experience, merchandising and operational excellence.

The Garden Centre Association was founded in 1966, with Colin Squire OBE, Chairman Emeritus of Squire’s Garden Centres, among its founding members.  Squire’s Garden Centres celebrates its 90th anniversary year in 2026.
