Customers, guests and local dignitaries gathered at Squire’s Garden Centres in Reigate this week to celebrate the centre’s 25th anniversary with a special summer evening of “Flowers & Fizz”.

Hosted by Chairman Emeritus, Colin Squire OBE, and his daughter, Chairman, Sarah Squire, the event was attended by the Mayor of the Borough of Reigate & Banstead, Cllr Rich Michalowski, and Mayoress, Mrs Michelle Gibney, along with customers and representatives from the centre’s Charity of the Year, SASH.

Guests were treated to a glass of fizz on arrival followed by a delicious array of canapés and sweet treats served in the Plant Area. Summer themed experiences were enjoyed by guests throughout the evening, including a Botanical ‘Mocktail Station’ comprising non-alcoholic cocktails with fruit garnishing and floral cupcake decorating, as well as a talk from Squire’s Plant Expert, Alex, about getting the best from your planted containers through into autumn.

Live harp music from Surrey-based musician Rebeca Jones provided a magical backdrop to a relaxed and sociable evening. A charity raffle in support of SASH Charity, which raises vital funds for East Surrey Hospital, generously raised £215 during the evening.

Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres, comments: “Reaching our 25th anniversary at Reigate is a significant moment, and this evening was a perfect way to celebrate. It’s been wonderful to share the occasion with our loyal customers and the community. I would like to thank everyone who came along and supported the event and special thanks to our brilliant team at Reigate who made the wonderful evening happen and brought it all to life.”
