Sarah Squire (Deputy Chairman) commented “We are absolutely thrilled that Squire’s Twickenham has won the Ruxley Rose award for the Best Plant Area in the UK. Very many congratulations to our Plant Manager Ian Hammond and all the team at Twickenham. This is a truly wonderful achievement! I am also extremely proud of our team at Shepperton for winning the Best Garden Centre Restaurant and Best Indoor Lifestyle Retailer in the UK. Plus huge congratulations to everyone at Squire’s Milford for their “Garden Centre of Excellence” award – they are now officially one of the top ten garden centres in the UK! The Garden Centre Association sets the standards for excellence in the horticultural industry, so it’s fantastic to be recognised in so many areas – from plants to gifts to our restaurants.”
The Garden Centre Association is the industry’s trade body and represents over 200 garden centres across the UK. Each garden centre was judged last autumn and the awards were given at the GCA Conference, which was held in St. Andrews 22nd-25th January.
