Squire’s Woking Hosts Business Breakfast in Support of Local Hospice

Squire’s Garden Centres in Woking was delighted to host Woking & Sam Beare Hospice’s September Business Breakfast on Friday 12 September. The event welcomed local businesses to the centre’s Café Bar for coffee, pastries and a chance to network, while also raising awareness and support for the Hospice, Squire’s Woking’s Charity of the Year.
The early morning session included a Q&A session with Squire’s Chairman, Sarah Squire, kindly hosted by Ian Parker of Henchards, specialists in business planning. Sarah shared insights into her family’s history in the garden centre industry as well as the company’s present-day focus.
Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres, comments: “We very much enjoyed hosting the Hospice’s Business Breakfast at our Woking centre. It was a pleasure to support such an important local charity and to spend the morning with members of the local business community. Thank you to Ian Parker for leading the session about Squire’s and keeping us on track – it made for a really enjoyable morning.”
Lucy McNally, High Value Partnerships Manager at Woking & Sam Beare Hospice, added: “We’re so grateful to Squire’s Woking for hosting our September Business Breakfast. These events are a fantastic way to bring together local businesses, showcase brilliant local venues and build support for the Hospice, which are proving extremely popular and well-supported. It was a wonderful morning and we are very appreciative of Squire’s kind support.”
The Business Breakfast was one of a number of events taking place this year as part of the centre’s partnership with Woking & Sam Beare Hospice, raising vital funds for the charity’s work across the community. The Hospice’s Business Breakfast series of events is sponsored by Henchards.
Care provided by WSBH is completely free of charge, with the team caring for approximately 2000 people each year across North West Surrey. The hospice needs to raise in excess of £8 million per year to continue to deliver its services.
