Two Local Family Businesses Share the Light
Squire’s Garden Centres has struck-up a glowing partnership with Lower Lodge Candles, a local family-run business, based just outside Haslemere, Surrey, as one of its most recent suppliers.
Founded in 2011 and now helmed by Managing Director, Daniella Thompson, with the support of her mother, Louise Thompson, the business is passionate about creating the high-quality, vegan candles. The local business offers candles that represent affordable luxury, ensuring everyone can enjoy the warmth and beauty of their products, with the Botanicals range being the latest addition to join the shelves at Squire’s

The local collaboration has flourished, with both businesses sharing a vision for excellence and sustainability. Lower Lodge Candles aims to ensure it sources as locally as possible, using UK-made packaging, and strives to make its processes as ethical as possible, principles Squire’s admires and is focused on achieving itself, with 85% of the plants it sells now UK sourced.

Lower Lodge Candles are sold in all 16 of Squire’s Garden Centres across Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire and North and West London – including local centres including Squire’s Milford, Frensham and Badshot Lea. Together, Squire’s and Lower Lodge Candles continue to light the way in their working partnership, supporting one another and sharing values, while bringing their customers beautiful products.
Squire’s has recently aired a short film about their partnership with Lower Lodge Candles, as part of their Meet the Maker series, which can be found on YouTube. The series of short films, focuses on Squire’s collaboration with a range of like-minded suppliers, working together to support one another’s visions.
