Allium sphaerocephallum - 25 Bulbs

00113723

Allium sphaerocephalon, also known as ‘Round Headed Garlic’, produces striking, oval-shaped flower heads that stand tall and proud. Flowering in mid to late summer, it provides a beautiful transition into autumn, bridging the gap between fading summer blooms and the emerging autumn display. Each stem carries perfectly oval flowers that start with a rich royal purple at the top, gradually fading to a soft lime green, creating a stunning colour palette. These upright flower heads look especially elegant among grasses and taller plants, appearing to float above the foliage.

Once flowering is over, simply deadhead the blooms and enjoy their return next season. The plants naturally form clumps and will slowly spread, but remain easy to manage if you prefer to keep them contained. Plant the bulbs between September and December, 15–20cm deep and 10cm apart, in fertile, well-drained soil for the best results.
