Calliope Geraniums will give a bright and cheerful look to your summer containers and baskets with their colourful blooms on long green stems. Calliope Geranium Dark Red has velvety petals and will look stunning on its own or mixed with contrasting colours and other summer bedding plants to add a touch of the Mediterranean to your garden and patio areas. They are more bushy than standard geraniums, love a sunny spot and are reasonable drought tolerant making them ideal for planting in fully sunny positions. Take care not to overwater them in the summer. Calliope Geraniums benefit from deadheading the spent flowers to keep them flowering throughout the summer. Plant in well drained compost, the potential height is 30cm and the potential spread is 20cm.
