Mint Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is an herbaceous perennial with both stems and leaves that have flushes of purple. Its foliage emits a strong minty scent that pairs up delightfully with the small pale purple flowers it grows in late summer. Mint Peppermint can be grown in any soil conditions and can be positioned in either full sun or partial shade. Planted in a “Hairy Pot” that is made from used coconut husks these pots are a single use biodegradable alternative to plastic pots. Simply plant straight into the ground and they will biodegrade within a few months leaving you with no plastic waste, or you can leave them above ground for up to 12 months before they will need replacing.
