Spathiphyllum Sweet Silvio also widely known as a peace lily is one of the most highly sought after house plants as they are known for purifying the air and making it easier to breath adding extra humidity into the air around you. Although being called a lily this is not in fact a lily. Being native to the jungles of Central and Southern America it is important to mimic the natural habitat as they do enjoy a light or shady position with a damp substrate (water once a week) A great way to keep it moist is to place on top of a dish that’s covered in pebbles which are sat in a small amount of water. with very long flowering period that have a sweet aroma which in some cases can last up to 10 weeks. Much like the Flamingo flower this has a waxy texture to its leaves giving that extra glossy look which look fantastic wherever it is placed.
