Perlite is a naturally occurring volcanic rock that’s been heat-treated to create lightweight, micro-porous granules – perfect for improving aeration, drainage and moisture retention in compost. Whether you're rooting cuttings or potting on, Perlite helps create the ideal environment for strong, healthy root growth.
Mix it into your compost to boost water absorption and airflow, or use it as a partial replacement for sand or grit to create a light, open structure. It’s especially useful for delicate plants and harder cuttings, helping to reduce the risk of overwatering and root rot.
