Clematis Montana Trellis 4 Litre

Commonly known as the ‘mile a minute’ Clematis, this very fast-growing Deciduous climber shows an abundance of dense pink flowers year after year from April/May with dark green leaves giving this specimen an amazing contrast of dark and light colouration. Preferring a Full sun Position this Clematis will also tolerate partial shade in well drained fertile soil. Dying back in the winter, we recommend pruning it back to the base after its finished flowering and beginning to die allowing you to add mulch. Mulching allows some winter insulation and will break down during the winter and spring seasons bringing much better growth the following year. Being classed as a climber we advise this is placed on a tall wall or trellis to prevent it from falling over as it will cling onto the wall or trellis giving it its famous upright colourations. Reaching a maximum height of 6 metres with an overall spread of 5 metres.
