More commonly known as "Rock Rose" this low maintenance, drought resistant plant boasts prominent flowers with a deep vivid magenta followed by a bright yellow centre giving it excellent an colour contrast. Native to the areas of the mediterranean, Cistus love being very dry and sat in well-drained soils. making a compact form with a habit to spread is what gives it its famous rock rose nickname. Although it thriving in tropical climates, in the UK some winter protection may be carried out through particularly harsh winters. Reaching a maximum height of around 1 metre with a spread of 1m.
