Cistus x Purpureus 3 Litre

From the cistus family this variety also claims the nickname of "Rock Rose" and performs with a low maintenance, drought resistant personality. This variety promotes a dense masse of dark pink mixed with a maroon base at each petal followed by a bright yellow centre making it a centre piece wherever this is planted. The major difference between Cistus purpureus and normal Cistus is the nature of the flowers, as most Cistus flower with one colour this variety can has up to three different colours ranging from red, pink and even purple. Native to the mediterranean this Cistus prefers full sun in very dry and well-drained soil. Growing in a compact form with a habit to spread give it its famous rock rose nickname. Although it thrives in tropical climates in the UK some winter protection may be carried out through particularly harsh winters. Reaching a maximum height of around 1 metre with a spread of 1m.
