Acer palmatum 'Beni Maiko' 14 Litre

Acer Palmatum Beni Maiko has a fantastic show of bright red foliage from spring through to summer with the colours changing to a pink in between. As the autumn approaches, the leaves then turn a fantastic green-red mix, to then loose it’s leaves in the winter, then grow back bright red to start the year again. Beni Maiko is fantastic for smaller spaces with its more compact, dense growing habit. In the latter part of the year, the leaf system falls revealing a vibrant stem ideal for highlighting in your garden. This Acer will grow in both acidic and neutral soils and prefers a free draining but moist soil. Beni Maiko will grow in full sun or a partially shaded area providing its sheltered. The potential height for this Acer is 1.5m and the potential spread is 1.5m over 10 years growth, which can be restricted when grown in a pot.
