Aster ostrich feather seeds yields large double blooms with recurving petals in rich colours, and they offer long-stemmed, ruffled blooms in a fine range of colours. Start them indoors, maintain moisture, and later transplant them outdoors. Plant these wildflowers in well-drained, fertile soil with part shade, and enhance their longevity by removing spent blooms. For long-lasting cut flowers, pick them just as the buds begin to show colour.
