Sunflower Alchemy Seeds

Bask in the splendour of our sunflower alchemy seeds, offering masses of vibrant blooms and striking 'silver' foliage. These multi-branching sunflowers are perfect for adding a pop of colour to borders. For a sure start, sow them indoors individually in small pots, around 1.5cm deep, and water generously. Place them in a cold frame or greenhouse to establish. Gradually introduce the young plants to outdoor conditions, ensuring frost-free surroundings, before planting them 45cm apart. Alternatively, sow the seeds directly outdoors in finely prepared, watered soil, around 1.5cm deep, placing two seeds every 45cm. Expect seedlings in 14-21 days, removing the weaker one if necessary. These sunflowers thrive in well-drained, fertile soil and love basking in full sun. Leave the dead flower heads as a treat for wild birds in the autumn. With their resilience and bright disposition, they'll flourish, and you can also start them indoors if garden pests are a concern.
