Zinnia Choice Mixed Seeds

Begin by sowing the seeds indoors in trays of compost, watering them well, and placing them in a greenhouse or cold frame. Keep the soil moist and transplant the seedlings 5cm apart to other trays, ensuring you handle them by the leaves. Gradually acclimate the young plants to outside conditions, avoiding frost, and then plant them 30cm apart when the frosts are over. Sow them directly outdoors in finely prepared, watered soil at 0.5cm depth. Expect seedlings in 14-28 days and thin them to 30cm apart. For long-lasting beauty, remove dead heads regularly, and avoid overhead watering to prevent disease once planted in your garden.
