Runner Bean (Dwarf) Hestia Seeds

Runner bean (dwarf) hestia seeds. This dwarf variety produces stringless beans approximately 20cm long, following large and attractive red and white flowers. It's an ideal choice for compact gardening spaces, including containers on the patio. Sow the seeds indoors, placing them 2.5cm (1”) deep into individual pots of compost. Maintain a warm temperature between 15-20°c (60-68°f), ensuring moisture. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days. Gradually acclimate the plants to outdoor conditions, then plant them 25cm (10”) apart after the frost season is over, with 45cm (18”) between rows. Regular picking will encourage extended cropping, and both early and late sowings will extend the harvest season. Well-cultivated fertile soil is key, and if space is limited, runner beans make an attractive addition to flower borders.
