Tomato Costoluto Fiorentino Seeds

Experience the classic taste of costoluto fiorentino tomatoes, a large, ribbed Italian beefsteak variety. These semi-determinate tomatoes are ideal for those who enjoy rich, hearty flavours. Sow the seeds indoors on a warm windowsill, 0.5cm deep in compost. Gradually acclimate the seedlings to outdoor conditions, then plant them 60cm apart after the frost risk has passed. Unlike some varieties, you won't need to pinch out side shoots. Offer support as the trusses bear heavy fruit, and water and feed regularly. While they can be grown in a polytunnel or cool greenhouse, costoluto fiorentino generally thrives better outdoors.
