Squire's Wokingham | Free Parking | Squire's Garden Centres

Welcome to the Squire’s Wokingham page, I am Matt the Centre Manager

Ongoing Roadworks to Heathlands Road

Heathlands Road is currently undergoing a schedule of gas works and part of the road is closed but we are open as normal!

Acquired by Squire’s in 2019, this centre was once part of a farm that sold fruit to supermarkets. Today we stock a wide range of top-quality plants, garden products, garden furniture, BBQs and gifts – with a knowledgeable and friendly team on hand to offer expert advice.

Food Hall

Our extended and beautifully updated Food Hall offers customers a huge amount of choice, from store cupboard essentials and fresh fruit and vegetables, to goodies such as delicious cakes and biscuits, as well as local beers, wines and spirits. The focus is very much on local produce, with many products sourced from suppliers across Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire.

The Food Hall features JL Butchers, who have moved from shop in West Byfleet to be located within Squire’s. They were awarded ‘Berkshires Best Butchers’ at the England’s Business Awards 2023 and voted ‘Butchers Shop Of The Year’ in the Surrey Life Food & Drink Awards 2019. They are known for their top-quality British meat and great customer service. We also serve delicious baked goods from our Bakery, such as artisan breads, croissants, pastries, cakes, savoury pies and sausage rolls.

In addition, we have a Food Hall at Squire’s Frensham. For more information on our Food Halls, please click here.

Facilities

All our centres have free parking, free Wi-Fi, disabled facilities and a Café Bar. At this centre we also have:

Well behaved dogs are welcome in our garden centre, with the exception of our indoor Café Bar area. Dogs are however, welcome in the outdoor seating areas of our Café Bar.

Located inside the garden centre, it has the same opening hours as the centre – Monday – Saturday 9am-5.30pm and Sunday 10:30am-4:30pm.

The Food Hall offers the very best fresh and local produce. Explore eats and treats including fresh bread and preserves, home baking products such as flour and eggs, dairy delights including cheese and yoghurts, fruit and veg, frozen meals from COOK, and a host of beers, wines and spirits.

Supporting the local community has been at the heart of the Squire’s family philosophy for more than 80 years. The Food Hall brings the best local eats and treats together, along with garden centre goods, under one roof – reducing your food miles and keeping the very best flavours in our community.

We are so confident in the quality of our hardy plants that we are happy to guarantee them for 3 years. We will gladly replace any hardy stock that does fail, provided it has been looked after correctly. Simply return the plant within 3 years, along with original proof of purchase.

During selected school holiday we run “Create & Grow”, where family activities are designed with young children in mind, giving them the opportunity to get creative, learn more about gardening, wildlife and the natural world whilst getting their hands dirty with a range of gardening and craft activities!

Create & Grow was designed to engage children in learning about nature in a fun and exciting way, with a variety of activities the whole family can get involved, run by our friendly staff.

For details about the next Create & Grow, please visit the events pages or ask a member of staff if not listed.

Visit us to slide, climb, play and learn, with picnic benches for parents and carers to relax on after a stroll around our centre. Find it in our plant area.

We are delighted to be supporting CLASP as our charity of the year until July 2025.

CLASP supports people with learning disabilities in the Wokingham Borough.  A user-led organisation, CLASP is run by its members and employs people with learning disabilities and offers voluntary opportunities.

Our staff chose the charity and are passionate about supporting the local community. We hope to be able to donate a generous amount throughout the year, with thanks to our customers, and to also support the charity on specific projects through the sharing of our time, skills and expertise.
