Comforting Seasonal Fayre on the Menu at Squire’s
This autumn, mouth-watering seasonal specials arrive on the menu at our Café Bars, and there will certainly be something to tempt everyone – whether popping in for a Light Bite or staying a while longer to enjoy a Main and Dessert!
Joining the main menu – and available in all 16 Squire’s Café Bars – are warming, hearty soups including Mushroom & Sage or Parsnip, Apple & Thyme, served with sliced sourdough, or perhaps King Prawn Cocktail is more to your taste complete with shredded lettuce, cherry tomatoes, avocado, Marie Rose sauce and sourdough baguette slices. Alternatively, there is the mighty King Prawn Sandwich with smashed avocado and cucumber and served on a choice of bread (bloomer, gluten free or a sourdough baguette). Another new addition, big on taste, is the Butternut Squash, Cranberry & Red Onion Tagine. Full of flavour, the dish (suitable for vegans) includes roasted butternut squash and red onion wedges in a sweetly spiced tagine style sauce, flavoured with orange, cinnamon, cranberries and sultanas, served with basmati rice and garlic naan.
Additions to Main dishes on the Brasserie Menu* this season include Cauliflower & Spinach Balti Pie served with sweet potato fries, tenderstem broccoli and gravy, the perfect Pie & Mash – with a choice of Steak & Ale or Chicken, Bacon & Mushroom – served with creamy mash, tenderstem broccoli and gravy and Pork & Leek Sausage and Mash – 3 sausages served with petit pois and onion gravy, and all served in a giant Yorkshire pudding.
On the Bistro Menu**, there are three new Toasted Focaccia additions full of flavoursome ingredients and perfect for a warming lunch: Caprese with mozzarella cheese, pesto, cherry tomato and smashed avocado, Pesto Chicken with sliced pesto marinated chicken topped with mozzarella cheese and chargrilled peppers and Tuna Melt – tuna mayo with mozzarella cheese, red onion and rocket.
To round off with a sweet treat, new additions to the Brasserie Dessert menu include Ginger & Pear Crumble – served with vegan vanilla ice cream, Sticky Toffee Pudding Cheesecake with banana chips and toffee sauce and Warm Chocolate Fondant with vanilla bean ice cream and raspberry coulis.
A number of the new additions are suitable for those looking for a vegan choice. Squire’s take care to create a menu that offers something for all, with welcoming staff who will be pleased to assist with catering for food allergies or intolerances, with two menus existing across all Squire’s Café Bars (see below).

Squire’s Café Bars are open 7 days a week with and serve a comprehensive menu throughout the day including Breakfast, Sweet Treats and Afternoon Tea*** and there is easy, free parking. Tables can be booked in advance by visiting the website or popping in to one of Squire’s garden centres.
