Rose Festival Returns to Squire’s Shepperton

The Rose Festival held its inaugural event back in 1977 – the year of Her Majesty’s Silver Jubilee – becoming an annual fixture and a highlight for Squires. The Rose Festival will be on display on Saturday, 25^th June from 12.30 – 5.00pm and Sunday, 26^th June from 10.30am – 4.30pm. Everyone is very welcome and entry is free.

Located in the plant area, there will be stunning displays of roses from growers across the country as well as floral art displays to enjoy from Walton & Weybridge Flower Club. Live musical entertainment will be provided by the renowned Panama Café Orchestra jazz band, between 12 noon – 3.00pm on both days.

In addition, there will be 15% off all roses* all weekend (including David Austin roses). Visitors can discover Squire’s extensive plant area and shop as well as visit the stylish Café Bar for some relaxation and perhaps afternoon tea, which has both indoor and outdoor seating areas.  Squire’s Café Bar has a wonderful selection of refreshments including cream tea, for a quintessential British treat and a perfect round-off to a visit to the Rose Festival!

Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres, comments: “It seems very fitting that the Show should be back in 2022 for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, as we express our admiration and celebrate Her Majesty’s seven decades of service to our country and the Commonwealth.  The only years we have missed in the 45 years since 1977 were 2020 and 2021 – for reasons we all know only too well!  Held under the auspices of the Rose Society UK, we anticipate outstanding blooms brought to Shepperton by exhibitors from around the country.
