Squire’s Frensham Supports Woodlarks Campsite
The team from Squire’s Garden Centres Frensham had a ‘furry’ meeting when they took some time to meet with their chosen ‘Charity of the Year’, Lower Bourne-based Woodlarks Campsite – and were joined by the charity’s canine ‘helpers’! The charity offers camping for the disabled in its 12 acre setting of fields and woodlands very close to the garden centre.
We recently announced our ‘Charities of the Year’ for 2022-2023. Garden centres can decide to support their existing charity for a second year in succession, and this is what the Squire’s Frensham team chose to do of the very local charity, which is based just a few fields away from the centre.
Team members at each of our sixteen garden centres choose a local charity they wish to support for the coming year, through fundraising efforts as well as helping raise awareness of their chosen charity.
Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres comments; “We believe it is so important to work with and be part of the local communities in which we are located. In support of this, every year each of our garden centres choose to support a local charity which means something to the centre team. I am delighted our Frensham team has decided to once again support Woodlarks Campsite.
“Over the course of the coming year, our centres will help raise awareness of their chosen charity and importantly, help raise much needed funds for them. We are extremely grateful to our customers and colleagues for their support and generosity in helping these brilliant local causes and even more so during challenging times.”
Catherine Crawford, Chair of Trustees for Woodlarks Campsite, comments: “We are delighted to have been chosen once again this year as Squire’s Farnham’s Charity of the Year! Established in 1930, we provide accessible camping for people with all kinds of disabilities. Children and adults alike come to Woodlarks to experience new things and leave often having exceeded their own expectations. Woodlarks Camp Site is just around the corner from Frensham Squire’s and exists so that anyone, whatever their disability, can have the fun and fellowship of affordable camping in a glorious setting. We are looking forward to working with Tom and his team again this year.”
