Squire’s Garden Centres increases support for Perennial and the wider horticulture industry

During these unprecedented times, Perennial’s services supporting those in the horticultural industry experiencing difficulties have perhaps never been so important. In order to continue to provide the high level of services provided by the charity it has been vital for the whole industry to offer support.

Squire’s Garden Centres is the latest fantastic example of an industry heavyweight stepping up to the plate by becoming a Perennial Platinum Partner. This partnership reflects the organisation’s commitment to the welfare of its staff and will see closer working with Perennial to promote a range of staff welfare services and advice.

Perennial’s Partnership scheme exists to enable organisations from all sectors of the industry to give an annual donation, which enables the charity to invest in new ‘prevent’ services as well as expert staff to maintain the high level of service provided.  

The Garden Centre brand is looking forward to working with the team at Perennial in 2021 and beyond to help spread the message of support for those that work in the sector.  If anyone working at a garden centre has a problem, however large or small, they can pick up the phone to the Perennial helpline in the knowledge that they will receive the support they need for themselves and their family.

Squire’s Chairman Sarah Squire said; “Perennial do such fantastic work helping those who are involved, or have been involved, in the horticultural industry and are experiencing difficulties. Perennial is there for their families too. We are proud of the support members of the Squire’s team, past and present, have given to the charity. Through them we have gained some insight into the amazing work Perennial carries out, so I am very pleased that we are able to assist the charity further by becoming a Platinum Partner. Perennial give people support when they need it most, in a gentle and caring way. They step in when the going gets tough with bespoke, practical help. We are passionate about plants and gardening and, through Perennial, want to support those who have shared that passion through their work in any part of our industry.”
