Christmas 2020 may be a distant memory for some, but it will be remembered by the team at Squire’s Garden Centre in Badshot Lea, as they have just won an award for being ‘The Greatest Group Garden Centre Christmas Team 2020.’

They pipped many other garden centres across the country to win this accolade, which was awarded by the publication Garden Trade News last week (21 January 2021).

Squire’s Chairman Sarah Squire said, “I am so delighted for our team and incredibly proud of everything they have done. Whilst safety for colleagues and customers was always their top priority, Richard and his team used all their skill and imagination to re-invent the department. The merchandising was much more open and airy, to promote social distancing, yet the displays they created were as stunning as ever.

Richard Wells, Garden Centre Manager added, “We decided on a very open plan display to make sure that our customers could shop easily and safely, but still with a touch of magic added to the merchandising that customers have come to know us for. After such a tough and challenging year this award means a lot to the whole team, and has really helped put a spring into our step.

Squire’s in Badshot Lea was also highly commended in the “Greatest Festive Food Hall Team” and “The Greatest Christmas Pets Team” categories.
